ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — A Southern Tier congressman seeks federal funding.

Congressman Josh Riley is requesting over $55 million in Community Project Funding for the FY2026. Among the requests are$4.5 million to modernize and expand the Ithaca Youth Bureau and $4.46 million for pump station improvements to the Village of Marathon Wastewater Treatment Plant.

“They’re about keeping families healthy, growing small-town economies, and making sure rural communities have the same shot at opportunity as anyone else,” Riley said. “Upstate New York knows what it’s like to be left out and left behind—and I’m doing everything I can to make sure we never are again.”

In total, the funding covers 15 projects in the 19th Congressional district.
