CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Cortland man has been charged in a theft investigation.

Authorities say David Clay Jr. stole county-owned property in the City of Cortland sometime between the month of May and June 2, 2023. Clay was arrested Monday, June 12, 2023, and charged with felony grand larceny.

Clay is due to appear in Cortland City Court at 9:00 a.m. on June 26, 2023. The Cortland County Sheriff’s Office is not revealing what was stolen at this time.
