CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — Cortland County is incentivizing waste removal.

Each municipality in the county is getting a $2,700 credit to use at the county landfill. All waste other than garbage and tires may be disposed of.

The credit system saw unanimous approval from county legislators.
