ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Local law enforcement is participating in prescription drug takeback events tomorrow.

On April 26, you can drop off unwanted or expired items at the Tompkins County Public Safety Building in Ithaca from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

In Cortland County, deputies will collect items at the Cortlandville Fire Department from 9 a.m. to noon, the Cincinnatus Fire Department from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., and Marathon High School from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. No liquids or sharps, such as needles or EpiPens, will be collected.

In Tioga County, authorities will be at the Owego Health and Human Services Building from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Officials will accept prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs, as well as sharps. No liquids, illegal substances, medical devices, aerosol cans, mercury-containing devices, or radioactive and chemotherapy drugs will be accepted.
