DRYDEN, N.Y. (WHCU) – Students at Dryden Central School are being asked to wait for the bus in their homes tomorrow.

Superintendent Josh Baciagalupi made the call Tuesday afternoon after officials said air quality issues would likely persist through Wednesday. The Air Quality Advisory was extended by a day and upgraded to an Air Quality Alert.

Baciagalupi added that Dryden School District buses may approach any walking students in the morning and offer a ride. He cautioned students to only accept rides from official Dryden School District buses. Bacigalupi also said any parent that may fear for their child’s health can keep them home from school.
