CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — Federal funding cuts are affecting the Cortland County Health Department.

Public Health Director Nicole Anjeski said the Public Health Fellowship Program is going to end on May 30. She added two contracted staff members will be let go.

The staff members had assisted with lead poisoning prevention and the vaccine ambassador program. Anjeski said maintaining those duties with current staff will be a “challenge.”
