DANBY, NY (607NewsNow) — A paramedic is running for county legislature.
Matt Sullivan, who grew up in Danby, says he wants to improve rural access to emergency services, expand accessible childcare, and strengthen economic development. The first-time candidate seeks a seat on the Tompkins County Legislature. He works for Bangs Ambulance, where Sullivan helped created Bangs Ambulance Workers United under the CSEA and serves as president.
According to a news release, Sullivan “is dedicated to ensuring that all residents can afford to live in Tompkins County and have access to essential services.” His campaign announcement was made over the weekend.
