WAVERLY, N.Y. (WHCU) — A Tioga County man faces charges after allegedly assaulting a security guard.

WENY reports 47-year-old Brett Bunker was arrested on Tuesday. Police say the Waverly man tried to steal a wheelchair at a hospital. When guards told him no, he allegedly struck one in the face. Authorities say Bunker also threatened to shoot them.

Bunker is charged with theft, aggravated assault, and making terroristic threats.
