(607NewsNow) — Our pets of the week start with Kennedy (Top L) and Chilly (Top R) from CNY Snap.

Kennedy is approximately 3 years old and was trapped at Cornell’s Kennedy Hall in May 2022. He originally wasn’t very trusting of humans, but after being at a long-term foster placement, he has turned into the biggest sweetheart. He can be a little shy but can be picked up. He has had 2 major ear surgeries and suffered some hearing loss because of that. He must be an indoor only cat for his own safety. Kennedy has been neutered, tested negative for FIV/FELV, and is microchipped and up to date on his vaccines.

Chilly is around 3 years old and came to the shelter from the streets in December 2023 and was a terrified mother of two kittens. Chilly has been learning that she can trust people. At one point, she hid in the corner of an open cage and wouldn’t leave it for weeks. Now, she will meow to get attention and wants to be pet but gets nervous when someone gets next to her. She’s always watching and getting braver about getting closer to people. The busy shelter is a bit overwhelming for her, so she needs a quiet environment with a patient person and probably no dogs. She has been spayed, tested negative for FeLV/FIV, and is microchipped and up to date on vaccines.

Next, we have Snickers (Bottom L) and Buttercup (Bottom R) from the Cortland County SPCA. Snickers is a sweet-hearted, affectionate girl who is the perfect little size for cuddling. She is outgoing and loves to be pet, play with toys, and window watch. She is 3 years old and ready to give all of her love to someone looking for a kind companion.

Buttercup 1 year old and is an affectionate sweet talker who has lots to say and lots of love to give. He has a loving personality and an adorable voice that make him an entertaining companion to have around. If you’d like a curious, playful, and talkative cat, Buttercup is your guy.
