The Cornell women’s hockey team has captured a conference championship. The Big Red beat Colgate 5-1 in the ECAC title game on Saturday. It’s the team’s first conference championship since the 2013-2014 season. Big Red goalie Annelies Bergmann made 27 saves in the victory. Cornell is now preparing for the NCAA Regional Final on Saturday.

The Cornell men’s hockey team is advancing in the playoffs. The Big Red outscored Yale 5-1. Senior Tim Rego led the way with two goals. Cornell next heads to Colgate for a best-of-three series beginning on Friday.

Basketball season has ended at Ithaca College. The men’s team fell to Worcester Polytechnic Institute 79-71 in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Bombers kept it close; there were 10 lead changes in the game.

Over the weekend, both SUNY Cortland basketball teams had their seasons ended. The men’s team was flattened by NYU 72-36 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The women’s squad fell to Bowdoin 67-54 in the second round of the tournament.

The Syracuse men’s basketball team took down Virginia 84-70. The Orange shot nearly 43 percent from three-point range. Syracuse will face Florida State in the ACC Tournament on Tuesday.

The Bills are backing up the Brink’s truck. Buffalo has awarded Josh Allen with a $330 million contract. It includes $250 million guaranteed, which is the most in NFL history.

A former playmaker for the Jets is headed to Los Angeles. Wide receiver Devante Adams has signed a two-year deal with the Rams worth $46 million. He caught seven touchdowns for the Jets last season.
