OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) — Improvements are complete at an outdoor spot in Owego.

Village Mayor Mike Baratta said “everyone is loving” the new skate park. An official opening is scheduled for the spring.

Baratta also said the fire station on North Avenue will get a new roof and “much-needed” repairs to the clock tower. Construction is expected to start around April.

Both the skate park and fire station renovations are entirely funded by New York’s Downtown Revitalization Initiative.
