ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Tompkins Community Bank (Tompkins) has expanded its executive leadership team with the appointment of Mark Fort as vice president, commercial banking relationship manager. With more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry, Fort will be responsible for overseeing commercial finance, lending, banking, cash management, and treasury management services.

“Mark’s vast industry experience, particularly at the executive level, makes him an ideal addition to our team,” said Brian Bisaccio, commercial lending division manager. “His aptitude for thoughtful expansions will surely benefit our team and clients in the long term.”

Before joining Tompkins, Fort served as senior business and professional banking relationship manager at M&T Bank. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and has earned Series 6, 7, and 63 certifications, along with life, health, and variable annuity licenses from FINRA.

Committed to giving back to his community, Fort actively volunteers with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, the Salvation Army, United Way, and Rescue Mission, in addition to supporting various local food banks and community drives. He resides in Oneida with his wife and enjoys spending time with his two sons and two grandchildren.
