ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — An Ithaca restaurant has served its final meal.
Coltivare is permanently closed. The South Cayuga Street eatery was operated by TC3, which calls the decision to close Coltivare ‘difficult,’ but add that the Culinary Center “will continue to provide state-of-the-art learning space” for students studying culinary arts.
The full statement from TC3:
“Tompkins Cortland Community College and the TC3 Foundation have come to the difficult decision to close Coltivare, the restaurant and event space in Downtown Ithaca. The Culinary Center, which includes the teaching labs, will continue to provide a state-of-art learning space for our culinary arts students.”
“Coltivare first opened on South Cayuga Street in 2014. It was a professionally operated restaurant and event space, adjacent to the teaching labs and academic space for TC3’s hospitality programs, particularly Culinary Arts. The academic programs have thrived through the years, and will continue to call the Culinary Center their home as the College remains committed to its educational mission and to providing our students the best possible experience.”
In a brief statement on the restaurant’s website, pre-booked events will be honored but anyone with a gift card should reach out to TC3 about a refund.
Coltivare opened in 2014.
