ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Town of Ithaca could see a new Planning Board member.

Officials are considering appointing Vincent Ferrara. His term would last through the end of 2030.

The board is currently reviewing plans for an artificial turf field on Game Farm Road, which would be used by Cornell’s field hockey team.

A decision on Ferrara joining the board is expected to come Monday evening, when lawmakers meet at Ithaca Town Hall.
