ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — About $75,000 will help provide sanitation services for Ithaca’s homeless population.
Common Council approved the funding on Wednesday. Most of the money will be used on a shower and toilet station.
Alderperson Jorge DeFendini supports the spending.
“I think we need to make sure that, for the folks who are currently unhoused, they have those amenities and conditions,” he says.
The site will be at the southwest part of the city.
