ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Another Tompkins County legislator is running.
Travis Brooks seeks a second term representing District 1. Brooks says he’d continue putting people first if re-elected. He announced his re-election bid on Facebook.
“There are systems designed to be safety nets to ensure our most vulnerable populations in our community so they have a soft place to land with decency, compassion, and dignity. These next four years I’ll be working harder than ever to ensure these systems exceed our expectations,” Brooks wrote. “And with the new district shifting, I love that the tent is changing. New voices, new ideas, new conversations but most importantly…new hopes to support.”
Legislators Mike Sigler and Shawna Black are also running for another four years.
