LANSING, NY (607NewsNow) — Lansing lawmakers want to see a lower speed limit.

The Town Board voted unanimously on Wednesday to contact the State Department of Transportation about Wildman Road. Town officials are hoping to drop the speed limit to 15-miles-per-hour on school days between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

The State DOT would have to conduct a traffic study before any change is made.

Elsewhere in Lansing, a barbeque business is looking to set up shop.
