TRUMANSBURG, NY (607NewsNow) — Trumansburg is getting a new superintendent.
Megan Conaway will succeed Kimberly Bell, who’s retiring after a three-decade career in education. Conaway is no stranger to Trumansburg, where she’s been principal of Charles O. Dickerson High School.

“Ms. Conaway’s seven years of experience [at Trumansburg Central School District] has given her a strong foundation to be able to support current district goals as well as look at ways that we can move the district forward with new and innovative ideas,” Board President Megan Williams said. “The Board looks forward to this new chapter in Trumansburg history and is confident in Ms. Conaway’s leadership as we continue to keep students at the forefront of all we do.”
In a statement, Conaway expressed her excitement. “I am beyond excited and ready to take the next step as Superintendent of Trumansburg Central School District. I am proud of my tenure at Trumansburg, and I look forward to strengthening partnerships to ensure our students receive the best education in a safe and vibrant community. Trumansburg is truly a special place, and I am honored to fully support and commit my energy to all students and staff. I am fortunate to have worked closely with current Superintendent Kimberly Bell and wish her the best in her upcoming retirement.”
Conaway’s start date is January 11.
