ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — Two more years for Lea Webb.
In the 52nd state Senate district, Webb will retain her seat representing Tompkins, Cortland, and Broome counties. Mike Sigler conceded the race last night, saying he wishes Webb the best but also hopes to see different priorities coming out of Albany. After declaring her win in Binghamton, Webb spoke to WHCU shortly before midnight.
In his statement, Sigler congratulated the victor while also hoping that “she will give serious consideration to the issues we raised during the campaign.”
Josh Riley is declaring a win in the 19th Congressional district over Marc Molinaro, who currently holds the seat. The New York State Board of Elections shows Riley in the lead by less than 4,000 votes. There’s not been statement released yet by Molinaro’s campaign. In the 22nd Congressional district, Brandon Williams is out. John Mannion was declared the winner by nearly 28,000 votes.
In a statement, Mannion says the people “want unity in a time of division.”
