ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – Election Day is here, and polls are open until 9 p.m.

According to an unofficial count from the state Board of Elections, over 15,000 votes were cast in Tompkins County during the early voting period. More than 6,400 voted early in Cortland County, and Tioga County saw nearly 6,200 early votes. New York’s early voting period ended Sunday. Polls today are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
