ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) – This year’s Halloween clean-up was a success for Zero Waste Ithaca.
On Sunday, November 3, 2024, volunteers picked up over 200 pounds of garbage in Collegetown. Although Halloween was Thursday, celebrations continued through the weekend. Items collected included cans, bottles, costumes, a broke vacuum cleaner, and even a $100 bill.

According to the non-profit environmental conservation group’s Facebook page, it was the largest amount of trash they’ve collected for the annual event.
