AURORA, NY (CortacaToday) — A closed Cayuga County college is up for sale.
Officials at Wells College say they’re working with Syracuse real estate firm CBRE to sell the campus.
In the October Wells College alumni newsletter, officials note selling the school is required to “fulfill our financial and regulatory obligations, and in order to complete the wind-down and dissolution.”
“The College has hired the world-renowned firm Christie’s to assist us with the sale of some of the non-real estate assets. They have visited campus and provided appraisals for some of our holdings, a college official said.”
The school in Aurora closed in April, shortly before the academic year ended. Following the closure, 13 former Wells College students continued their education at Ithaca College.
