TRUMANSBURG, NY (CortacaToday) — Lights will shine bright at Taughannock Falls.

It’s part of a statewide centennial celebration of New York State Parks. The event was first scheduled for April but was delayed over concerns about disturbing peregrine falcons.

“In preparation, State Park Stewardship staff have conducted a full audit of the gorge tail and have found no evidence of Peregrine Falcons currently nesting in the gorge,” Fred Bonn with the New York State Parks Department said. “Additional consultation with the New York State Department of Conservation has taken place and SEQR, specific to the event, has been performed. ”

The illumination of Taughannock Falls is tomorrow and Saturday. Click here to register.
