ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – An Ithaca man awaits his day in court.

23-year-old Jaymez Bailey was arrested around 7:35 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2023, after an investigation into a harassment complaint at the 100 block of Cherry Street. Bailey is accused of forcing his way into an apartment by kicking, punching, and pushing the door open and making threats related to the possession of handgun. Investigators located a weapon a short time later.

Bailey is charged with felony gun possession and misdemeanor trespassing. He was remanded to Tompkins County Jail.
